CSEC

CSEC Biology

Description

Our CSEC Biology course follows the CXC CSEC Biology syllabus and guides students through all three sections of the course. Clear, well-organised lessons and practice questions built on the syllabus objectives help students understand the key ideas, apply them to new situations, and prepare thoroughly for the CSEC examination.

Every practice question comes with an explanation for each answer, right or wrong, so students learn from every attempt. The questions range from straightforward recall to the data analysis and higher-order thinking needed for Paper 02.

What students will learn:

  • Section A – Living Organisms in the Environment: classification, ecology, food chains and webs, energy flow, nutrient cycles, and the effects of human activity on the environment
  • Section B – Life Processes and Disease: cells, nutrition, respiration, transport, excretion, movement, irritability, growth, reproduction, and health and disease
  • Section C – Continuity and Variation: DNA and genes, cell division, inheritance, variation, natural selection and genetic engineering

Course features:

  • Lessons and practice quizzes organised by section and topic, following the CXC syllabus
  • Questions that build from recall to analysis, data interpretation and experimental design
  • An explanation for every answer
  • Support for all three papers: Paper 01 (multiple choice), Paper 02 (structured, data analysis and extended response) and the School-Based Assessment
  • Learn at your own pace, any time, on a computer, tablet or phone
