CSEC Mathematics

Description

Our CSEC Mathematics course follows the CXC CSEC Mathematics syllabus. It guides students step by step through every section of the course. Clear worked examples and well-organised lessons help students understand each topic. Practice questions built on the syllabus help them sharpen their problem-solving skills and prepare thoroughly for the CSEC examination.

Every practice question comes with an explanation for each answer, right or wrong, so students learn from every attempt. The questions range from quick skill checks to the multi-step problems needed for Paper 02.

What students will learn:

  • Number: computation, number theory and consumer arithmetic, including interest, hire purchase, wages, taxes and bills
  • Sets, Measurement and Statistics: Venn diagrams, perimeter, area and volume, and collecting, presenting and analysing data
  • Algebra and Graphs: expressions, equations, inequalities, relations, functions and graphs
  • Geometry and Trigonometry: angles, constructions, transformations, Pythagoras’ theorem and trigonometry
  • Vectors and Matrices: working with vectors and matrices, including transformations

Course features:

  • Lessons and practice quizzes organised by topic, following the CXC syllabus
  • Step-by-step worked examples
  • Questions that build from basic skills to multi-step problem solving
  • An explanation for every answer
  • Support for Paper 01 (multiple choice), Paper 02 (structured questions) and the School-Based Assessment
